Recently, Islamists have often arranged attacks on security forces, after in the summer of 2013 President Mohamed Morsi was ousted, who was a representative of “the Muslim Brotherhood.” The situation is the most tense in the north of the Sinai Peninsula.

After Morsi was ousted, the group “Muslim Brotherhood” has been recognized as a terrorist organization and hundreds of its activists have received death sentences. The former president is accused of collaboration with the extremists and involvement in the murders of policemen and soldiers.

“Muslim Brotherhood” is an international politic-religious association, which declares as its goal the establishment of an Islamic state.
