The contest was held from the 4th to the 9th of August. 40 participants from different countries were competing for the title of “Mrs. World 2014.”

“I’m the new Mrs. World 2014 <…> I’m extremely happy! Thank you very much for your support and best wishes!” – wrote Julia Ionina on her page on the social network “VKontakte”.

A mother of three, the 28-year-old Julia Ionina is the holder of the titles of “Mrs. St. Petersburg-2012”, “Mrs. Russia North-West 2013” and “Mrs. Baltics 2013”. Ionina is the head of a charitable foundation “Beauty and Kindness”.

The competition “Mrs. World” along with “Miss World,” “Miss Earth” and “Miss Universe” is one of the most prestigious international beauty contests, but in contrast to the mentioned above, this competition is held only among married women. The competition “Mrs. World” was established in 1985 and has since been held annually (with the exception of 1990-1995, 1997-1999 and 2004, when the competition did not take place for various reasons).
