According to police, at least two people were preparing the mass crime – a 19-year-old man from Timberli (Nova Scotia) and a 23-year-old woman from Geneva (Illinois, USA).

As police has learned, these two people who had access to firearms, intended to go to a public place on February 14 to shoot people and then commit suicide. The police did not disclose possible motives of the crime. .

Canadian police suspects that two more men, aged 17 and 20 years and living in Nova Scotia, were involved in the conspiracy.  The investigation will have to determine their role in preparing the terrorist attack.

The 19-year-old man was found dead in his home on Friday morning, February 13. A 20-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were arrested at the airport in Halifax, and a 17-year-old man was arrested elsewhere.

Police believes that they arrested everyone who was involved in preparing the massacre. No one else is being searched for with regards to this case.
