This was stated by the Minister of Defense of DPR, Vladimir Kononov in an interview with the radio station Kommersant FM. “It is impossible to live like half a man,” – he said.
At the same time, according to the head of the Defense Ministry, he was still not aware of the outcome of Minsk negotiations. Kononov neither confirmed nor refuted Western media reports that Donetsk and Lugansk Republics refused to sign a peace treaty.
Earlier, a source close to the course of consultations said that Kiev was not satisfied with a Russian proposal about the demarcation line in Ukraine and the status of the breakaway republics.
On Thursday, February 12, the negotiations that started in Minsk last night were still continuing in the morning. They were attended by the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, the Presidents of Russia and France Vladimir Putin and Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
