This was stated by the head of the Greek Foreign Ministry Nikos Kotzias after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
“Greece does not want to build relations with European countries through the prism of the Ukrainian crisis,” – said Kotzias. According to him, Athens oppose sanctions against Russia and intend to play a mediating role in the relations of Russia and the EU to solve problems. “Greece wants to play a mediating role in the relations between Russia and the EU”, – said the minister. “We hope that the Ukrainian crisis will be resolved, and we will get to a positive agenda,” – he added.
