“I want people to see my electronic correspondence,” Clinton wrote on Twitter. “I asked to publish it and they told me they will consider my request as fast as they can.”
This information was confirmed by the Department of State spokeswoman Marie Harf. According to her, correspondence of ex-Secretary of State must be checked first before publication.
Earlier, American media informed that Hillary Clinton has been violating Federal law during her stint as a Secretary of State. Instead of carrying on correspondence via special governmental electronic system with additional protection, she was using private email box for this purpose. For four years (2009 to 2013) Clinton didn’t even manage to create governmental email. It has exasperated archivists – under the law, all Secretary’s letters must be filed in Department of State’s archives, so that historians and officials could work with them.
American society’s concern about this situation is related to the fact that Hillary Clinton is considered as one of the most promising Democratic candidate for the 2016 United States presidential elections. She will announce formally about her intentions to stand in elections as early as April.
