On February 4, the governments of Denmark, France and Estonia refused to supply weapons to Ukraine. So, in Copenhagen it was decided that it would only aggravate the situation in the country. In Paris it was concluded that a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine should be found. The press service of the Estonian Foreign Ministry said that “Tallinn doesn’t have excess weapons to send to Kiev.”

Earlier, Germany and Hungary refused to supply weapons to Ukraine.

On February 1 it was reported that senior US officials are considering supplying to Ukraine defensive weapons. In particular, this idea was supported by the NATO Commander in Europe Philip Breedlove. This matter will be discussed during the visit of US Secretary of State to Kiev John Kerry, which began on February 5.

During the conflict in the east of Ukraine, Kiev received military assistance by several European countries – the participants of the North Atlantic Alliance. The greatest support came from Washington: Americans contributed $ 320 million in military aid. At the same time the supplies have been limited to non-lethal weapons.
