60 Cayenne cars and 13 Panamera cars will be recalled, which were manufactured from March 17, 2011 to May 7, 2012.
“For vehicles subject to a recall, there is a possibility of leakage of the fuel rail of the fuel injection system. In rare cases, it can lead to an abnormal smell due to leakage of a small amount of fuel,”- the statement reads. Authorized dealers of Porsche Russland will notify car owners of the vehicles subject to recall by sending an email or calling and will notify them to bring their car to the nearest dealership for repair work that will be carried out free of charge.
According to the Association of European Businesses, sales of Porsche vehicles in Russia in February of 2015 rose to 381 cars against 174 in February of 2014, and just in the first two months of this year, sales have increased by 92 percent.
Demand for luxury cars in the Russian market is growing against the general trend of falling sales, which is particularly prevalent in the segment of budget cars. Russian Lada sales have declined in the first two months by a quarter, amounting to 41.1 thousand cars.
