The Reuters agency found out what was in that note.
Shorina said that the politician was preparing a report regarding the participation of Russian troops in the conflict in Ukraine. “I was contacted by paratroopers from Ivanovo. 17 killed, they never got the money. But still afraid to talk,”- said in a note.
According to Shorina, Nemtsov had in mind soldiers of the 98th Guards Airborne Division, which is stationed also in the Ivanovo region. She did not elaborate on how the politician was keeping in touch with them.
Nemtsov, according to Shorina, did not want to say anything out loud to her, for fear of being bugged, so he wrote everything on paper. The agency could not confirm the authenticity of the letter.
She also said that the politician was planning to publish a million copies of his report entitled “Putin. The War.” In it, he was not going to make some sensational conclusions, because he took the information from public sources and from the words of relatives of Russian soldiers who allegedly were fighting in the east of Ukraine.
The member of the Bureau of the federal political council of the “RPR-Parnassus”, Ilya Yashin said that he had already previously posted the note in his Twitter account.
Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on the night of February 28 in the center of Moscow. At that moment he was walking on the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge with a female companion – a Ukrainian model Anna Duritskaya. The politician, a Deputy of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma, was shot four times. He died on the spot, while his companion was not harmed. During the attack, allegedly, a Makarov pistol was used. A criminal case under the articles “Murder” and “Illegal arms trafficking” was opened. Various versions, such as a provocation to destabilize the political situation in the country, as well as an Islamic extremist scenario, the Ukrainian events, financial and personal hostility are being investigated.
The US and other Western countries have repeatedly spoken about the presence of Russian troops in the east of Ukraine. Until now, no formal materials have been presented. Russia many times denied the accusations about the presence of their troops and weapons on the territory of Ukraine, stating that it is not a party to the conflict.
